HC Deb 15 March 1971 vol 813 c249W
Earl of Dalkeith

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will take steps to ensure that police patrol vehicles are equipped with first-aid equipment that includes pain killing drugs such as morphia.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

There are difficulties in including such drugs in the first-aid equipment carried by police patrol vehicles, since administration of them by unqualified persons might in certain circumstances be harmful.
