HC Deb 15 March 1971 vol 813 c240W
Mr. Chichester-Clark

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many public sector dwellings were completed in 1970 by industrialised methods; what percentage that represents of the total public sector programme; and what are the equivalent figures for each of the last seven years.

Mr. Amery

55,701 dwellings built by industrialised methods were completed in 1970 for local authorities and new towns in England and Wales. These represented 41.;03 per cent. of the dwellings completed for these authorities. The equivalent figures for 1964 to 1969 appear in Housing Statistics No. 19 (Table 16) which is available in the Library.
