HC Deb 10 March 1971 vol 813 c113W
94. Mr. Moate

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what regulations exist to check and control the cumulative number of hours at the wheel, of Continental commercial vehicle drivers, undertaking journeys in the United Kingdom, following long distance journeys across Europe.

Mr. Peyton

The Drivers Hours (Goods Vehicles) (Keeping of Records) Regulations, 1960, apply to foreign as well as to British drivers. Drivers of passenger service vehicles, whether British or foreign, are not required to keep records but must comply with the statutory limits.
