HC Deb 08 March 1971 vol 813 c26W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether the£7,720 expended on costs connected with the Wilberforce Inquiry included the costs and expenses of the Members and Chairman; and whether he will detail these, together with particulars of the numbers of days and hours which the Committee sat.

Mr. Bryan

Neither the Chairman nor the members of the Inquiry made any claim for fees, subsistence or expenses; the Inquiry met in public on six days and in private on six days. No record was kept of the number of hours.
