§ Miss Quennellasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish a table showing, from information available from international sources, the gross national product at constant, 1963, market prices per head of the population for the years 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970, in France, West Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, the United States of America, Canada, Japan, and Great Britain.
§ Mr. HigginsFigures for 1970 are not yet available. The table below shows the information for the remaining years on the basis of data received from O.E.C.D., adjusted in the case of the United Kingdom to bring it in line with the revised figures published in January, 1971, issue of Economic Trends. The figures are in constant 1963 market prices and have been converted to dollars at 1963 rates of exchange. Official exchange rates do not, however, necessarily reflect differences in the internal purchasing power of the respective currencies.
