HC Deb 15 June 1971 vol 819 c47W
Mr. Michael Cocks

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the duty to be levied on imported meat will be paid at landing or on warehouse release.

Mr. Higgins

Duty on imported meat may be paid either at importation or, if the meat has been entered for deposit in a bonded warehouse, at the time of delivery from warehouse. It is proposed that similar arrangements should be made for payment of import levies on beef and veal.
