§ Mr. Harold Walkerasked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) if he will introduce an amendment to the Equal Pay Act, 1971, to enable him to arrange for the equalisation of pension provision;
(2) if he will have consultations with the Confederation of British Industry and the Trades Union Congress about the steps necessary to produce parity of pension provision for men and women.
§ Mr. BryanThe question of appropriate pension provision for women will fall to be considered as part of the Government's general review of pensions, which will of course include discussions with the Confederation of British Industry and the Trades Union Congress.
