§ Mr. Roy Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will reconsider the date of implementation of the wage settlement agreed on the Licensed Non-Residential Wages Council on 16th April bearing in mind that there was considerable delay in arranging a settlement due to the postal strike and that though the regulation order was made on 15th June it is not due to be effective until 22nd August, 1971.
§ Mr. BryanBecause printed notice of the changes has to be sent to all employers affected before the new minima became legally enforceable I regret that it is not possible to fix an earlier operative date for this order.
