§ Mr. Graham PageThe release of any land for development is primarily the responsibility of the local planning authorities. Where proposals come before me for decision for the release of land, including white land, I shall consider them on their individual merits.

Mrs. Kellettasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what response he has received from local authorities following the issue of his Circular 10/70, Land Availability for Housing; and what is the number of planning authorities currently engaged in the reassessment of land availability and housing needs.
