Mr. James Johnsonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he proposes to set up a working party to consider new machinery for the effective disposal of disused railway lines for recreational and other purposes, as recommended in the recent Appleton Report, "Disused Railways in the Countryside of England and Wales", a copy of which is in his possession.
