asked the Attorney-General when he expects to receive the report of the Law Commission dealing with payment of damages to widows under the fatal accidents legislation.

The Attorney-General

The Law Commission expects to circulate this summer a Working Paper on the assessment of damages in all personal injury cases including fatal accident cases, and the timing of its Report must depend on the comments it receives on the Working Paper. However, at the request of my noble friend the Lord Chancellor, it has acquainted him with provisional views on certain questions relating to widows' damages, which my noble friend is studying.
