§ Mr. Dudley SmithAt 11th January, 1971, there were 2,450 males registered as unemployed in the area covered by the Blackpool Employment Exchange: 2,422 were wholly unemployed of whom 10 were 65 years of age and over and 474 were under 25 years.

§ Mr. Dudley SmithI am aware of 15 establishments which have opened in the Blackpool travel-to-work area during 1969 and 1970. When the position was last reviewed in August it was estimated that these establishments employed some 470 workers.
