§ Mr. Dudley SmithAt 8th November, 9,249 people who last worked in the construction industry were registered as unemployed in the Merseyside Development Area. The following is an occupational analysis of the numbers of men registered as wholly unemployed who were included in that figure at that date. The Government have recently introduced a number of measures which are designed to provide more construction jobs on Merseyside.
