HC Deb 05 August 1971 vol 822 c456W
Mr. Mudd

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what plans he has for the use of the Trawler Support Ship "Miranda" during the remaining part of the summer, now that she has completed her Channel traffic survey duties.

Mr. Anthony Grant

I propose to send the "Miranda" to northern waters for approximately six weeks, starting at the end of August, in support of the trawler fleet on its summer fishing grounds. In accordance with the recommendations of the Committee of Inquiry into Trawler Safety, the "Miranda" will be equipped to offer medical and technical assistance during this voyage.
