HC Deb 05 August 1971 vol 822 cc472-3W
Mr. Roderick

asked the Secretary of State for Wales which are the areas of housing stress in Wales.

Mr. Peter Thomas

No definable areas of Wales can be specified as subject to acute housing stress other than the stresses of unfitness and obsolescence, but the proposed rising costs subsidy which aims to help areas of housing stress is likely to operate most favourably in respect of those smaller authorities which have large building programmes in proportion to their existing housing stock.
