§ Mr. SharplesLocal authorities have power under Section 75 of the Public Health Act, 1961, to make byelaws for securing the safety of the public at fairgrounds. The views of the British Safety Council on the need for further legislation have been made known to the Home Office, but my right hon. Friend is not satisfied that this is required.
