asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he intends to abolish the Meat and Livestock Commission.

As my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer explained to the House on 27th October, the review of the rôle of Government and public authorities will be a continuing process. My right hon. Friends and I have no plans at present for abolishing the Meat and Livestock Cornmission.—[Vol. 805, c. 38]
