Mr. Stallard

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will take steps to stop the infringement of privacy resulting from the practice of telephone salesmanship.

Mr. Carlisle

This practice falls within the terms of reference of the Committee on Privacy, who have invited evidence on the subject.
