Mr. Ian Lloyd

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science which member governments of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development supported the decision taken in Paris on 15th October to create an international Institute for the Management of Technology.

Mrs. Thatcher

On 2nd July the Council of O.E.C.D. adopted a resolution which invited the Governments of all member countries to consider the possibility of participating in the Institute. So far as I am aware, no formal action has been taken by any Government.

Mr. Lloyd

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether Her Majesty's Government intends to sign the convention creating an international Institue for the Management of Technology in January 1971.
