Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the number of firemen killed on duty in Great Britain in 1969 and in 1970 to date; and if he will give the location of each fatality.

Mr. Sharples

Nine in 1969 and four in 1970, including two and three respectively who died from injuries received.

Following are the locations of each fatality:
