§ 130. Sir G. Nabarroasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether, having regard to the refusal of planning consent for a nuclear power station at Stourport-on-Severn, alongside existing A and B coal-fired stations, thus removing risks of radio-active materials polluting the River Severn, he will now state his policy on the siting of nuclear power stations on inland waterways.
§ Mr. RidleyIt is for the Generating Board to propose sites, and each application is considered on its merits. Any possible contamination of a waterway would be taken into account.
