HC Deb 23 November 1970 vol 807 c42W
Mr. Burden

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if, in view of the recent grounding of the "Hereford Express" and the loss of all but three of the 262 cattle aboard, consigned from Londonderry to Glasgow, 138 of which were fat cattle, he will now take steps to ensure that fat cattle destined for the United Kingdom meat markets are slaughtered in Northern Ireland and shipped as carcases and/or processed meat to the mainland.

Mr. Anthony Stodart
