HC Deb 20 November 1970 vol 806 cc506-7W
Mr. Geraint Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what alteration has been made to the location of the terminal points of the proposed Collern Expressway since the Collern Report was first made public in 1968; and where the new terminal points are to be.

Mr. Peter Thomas

The terms of reference of the "Collcon" study did not specify precise terminal points but the study area was approximately from Abergele in the east to Penmaenbach in the west. The consultants now examining possible routes have been asked to cover the length generally between St. Asaph and Aber. This is to ensure that the "Collcon" scheme will be capable of extension, particularly westwards, when this is required. The precise terminal points of the various construction stages have still to be decided.
