Mr. Laurance Reed

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) what proportion of North Sea gas supply comes from the West Sole field;

(2) what is the current daily flow rate of natural gas extracted from North Sea fields;

(3) what proportion of United Kingdom total gas consumption is now met from the gas fields beneath the North Sea;

(4) what is the current value of the natural gas produced by the North Sea fields.
