§ Mr. Ashtonasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what investigations he has made into the tours organised by Westminster Touring Association of Parliament Street, London, to Oberammergau this year; what representations and complaints he has received from religious bodies and other organisations; and whether he will institute proceedings against this firm for fraud.
§ Mr. RidleyOn present information I do not consider that the Department would be justified in investigating the affairs of the Westminster Touring Association Ltd., nor am I aware of any grounds for the institution of criminal proceedings. We have received 27 complaints from organisations and individuals about the company.
