HC Deb 10 November 1970 vol 806 c123W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received from local authorities and other organisations about the level of Scottish Special Housing Association rents; what replies he has sent; and if he will take steps to ensure that Scottish Special Housing Association rents are not increased over the next two years.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

I have received a number of representations and in reply have explained that the fixing of rents is primarily for the Association itself, although my approval is required, and that the Association operates an effective rebate scheme. The answer to the last part of the Question is "No".
