Mr. William Hannan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish a table showing separately the number of pupils resident in Glasgow and outwith Glasgow attending, respectively, each of the five local authority former fee-paying schools, each of the grant-aided schools, and private schools within the city.

Information is not kept centrally about the numbers of pupils at Glasgow schools who are resident in and who come from outwith the city. The numbers of pupils attending the different categories of schools at January, 1970, are as follows:—
