HC Deb 09 November 1970 vol 806 cc51-2W
Mr. Merlyn Rees

asked the Minister of State for Defence if he will state the terms on which commercial aircraft are able to use Royal Air Force Lindholme, Royal Air Force Finningley, and Royal Air Force Church Fenton.

Mr. Lambton

Lindholme and Church Fenton Royal Air Force stations are available during working hours for use by civil aircraft on inland flights, with the prior permission of the Commanding officers concerned. Normal fees are charged.

Finningley Royal Air Force station is not available for use by civil aircarft but, since it is only about ten miles from Lindholme, this should not cause any problem.
