HC Deb 09 November 1970 vol 806 c16W
Mr. Hugh Jenkins

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what is the positive overseas balance produced by artistic royalties; how it compares with the balance produced by technological royalties; and what is the relationship of the positive balance to the amount spent abroad and to the receipts from other countries in each case.

Mr. Anthony Grant

The latest figures are for 1968, when there were favourable balances of £11 million for artistic royalties and £6 million for technological and mineral royalties, excluding oil. Details were published in the Board of Trade Journal of 25th March, 1970.
