HC Deb 05 November 1970 vol 805 cc411-2W
40. Sir D. Walker-Smith

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he has given consideration to the report of the Society of Conservative Lawyers on Public Order, a copy of which has been sent to him; and whether he will initiate the recommended review of the law in this field with a view to its simplification and clarification.

Mr. Sharples

The report recommends action on a number of matters relating to public order. In consultation with his colleagues, my right hon. Friend is considering the operation of the law of trespass in this context. But he does not propose to initiate a comprehensive review.
