HC Deb 05 November 1970 vol 805 c409W
25. Mr. Cordle

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what basis of costing is employed by Her Majesty's Prisons to enable them to quote for hospital garments and textiles.

Mr. Carlisle

The general rule is to quote fair market prices; account is taken of the expenses of production in prison workshops, including the abnormal overheads.
