§ Mr. Maurice MacmillanThe trend of the visible trade account in recent months has been obscured by the dock strike but I am satisfied that the current account as a whole remains in substantial surplus. In the seasonally unfavourable second half of the year there may well be some outflow of currency even though the current account remains satisfactory.
