HC Deb 02 November 1970 vol 805 cc245-6W
59. Mr. John Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what estimate he has made of the effect of the Government's proposals on invest-

them, and how their separate activities are to be co-ordinated.

Mr. Ridley

Below is a list of the main bodies and their approximate fuel research expenditure. The nationalised industries have internal arrangements for co-ordination which I keep under review. The research associations determine their own programmes, with the participation of the Department.

Following is the information:

ments grants and allowances in Wales, so far as new employment is concerned; and, in particular, what proposals he has for new employment opportunities in the Aberavon constituency.

Mr. Ridley

The Government's proposals link assistance more directly with the provision of new employment, but their precise effect will depend on the nature of the projects coming forward. We shall continue to draw the attention of suitable firms to the possibility of locating in Aberavon.
