asked the Minister of Technology what was the total expenditure incurred in the most recent annual period for which figures are available in providing investment grants for British shipowners to build ships abroad.

£41 million for the 12 months ending 31st March, 1970.

and selective employment premiums, expenditure on training and derelict land clearance and other measures; and if he will give an estimate for expenditure under these headings during the present financial year.
