HC Deb 28 May 1970 vol 801 cc557-8W
Mr. Brooks

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will publish his latest statistics of the number of children suffering from spina bifida in the Wirral Peninsula; how many of these children are at present unable to attend the specialist school at Clatterbridge Hospital because of shortage of accommodation; and whether he will make a statement on his proposals for remedying this situation by the provision of classrooms

(2) when he expects that the ceiling for primary schools in Scotland will be reduced below 45.

Mr. Ross:

On 29th April, 1970, I sought the views of education authorities and other interests on proposals for improving staffing standards in primary schools which would lead to a marked reduction in the average class size.
