HC Deb 28 May 1970 vol 801 c530W
Mr. John Fraser

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps have been taken since 1966 to equip the Metropolitan Police L Division with modern aids to crime prevention and detection.

Mr. Elystan Morgan:

The division has, like others in the Metropolitan police district, benefited from such measures as the introduction of modern methods of beat patrolling, made possible by increased supplies of personal radios and cars; the attachment of specialist scenes of-crime and crime-prevention officers; and the provision of such modern office equipment as photo-copiers.
