§ Mr. Juddasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he will make a statement on the future employment status of apprentice group instructors in Royal Naval Dockyards.
§ Dr. David Owen:I regret I am not yet able to announce a final decision on the claim of the apprentice group instructors for regrading as instructional officers. Negotiations are, however, in an advanced stage, and the staff concerned are aware that if the claim is agreed the regrading will be effective from 1st April, 1970. A decision will be made and announced at the earliest practicable moment.
