HC Deb 15 May 1970 vol 801 cc440-1W
Mr. Dunn

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what plans he has to issue specimen sets of United Kingdom coins.

Mr. William Rodgers:

Yes. My right hon. Friend has agreed in principle that specimen sets shall be struck at the Royal Mint, Llantrisant. Mint officials will shortly be consulting leading numismatists and others about the potential market for these coins in the United Kingdom and overseas. Details will be announced when this consultation has taken place.
