asked the Minister of Transport what are the total estimated commitments outstanding on 31st March last and the total estimated new commitments in 1970–71 in respect of new construction and major improvements for trunk roads and for principal roads and loans to highway authorities. Respectively.

The provisional totals for England of commitments outstanding on 31st March, 1970 are as follows:

asked the Minister of Transport if he will give the estimated value of schemes for trunk roads, including motorways, urban principal roads and inter-urban principal roads, respectively, in preparation as distinct from schemes which are programmed at 31st March last.
