asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call a meeting of all chief constables in areas with motorways with a view to discussing possible action to prevent recurrence of multiple crashes which have caused death and injury.

Ways of reducing the risk of accidents are considered under the standing arrangements for consultations about the policing of motorways.
