HC Deb 12 May 1970 vol 801 cc263-4W
Mr. Arthur Pearson

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what action she intends taking to resolve the industrial dispute at the Royal Worcester Ceramics Limited works at Tonyrefail, Glamorganshire, which has now taken the form of a lock-out.

Mr. Harold Walker:

Owing to a stoppage of work affecting some 150 A.E.F. members which arose over the non-engagement of two fellow members the company have laid off the other 200 employees, who belong to the Ceramic and Allied Trades Union. The T.U.C. is considering with the parties how the dispute can be resolved. My officers, who have also had discussions with the parties, are keeping in touch and will give any help they can.
