HC Deb 12 May 1970 vol 801 cc248-9W
Sir J. Langford-Holt

. asked the Minister of Transport at what intervals parking meters are tested for accuracy; and what percentage is found to be inaccurate and by how much.

Mr. Murray:

The testing of parking meters is a matter for the local authorities concerned but generally they are tested at four-weekly intervals and overhauled every 12 months. Information on the reliability of parking meters is not readily available and to obtain it would be disproportionately costly and time consuming.
