Mr. Kenyon

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what percentage of Irish store cattle react to the tuberculosis test after arrival in this country.

Mr. Mackie:

In 1969, 0.32 per cent. of store cattle imported from the Republic of Ireland reacted to tuberculin tests carried out in the course of the normal farm testing programme. For store cattle imported from Northern Ireland the figure was 0.02 per cent.
