HC Deb 11 May 1970 vol 801 c210W
58. Dame Irene Ward

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will make a statement on the results of the Whitley Council negotiations on improved salary scales and other matters for physiotherapists and other professions supplementary to medicine; and what progress on lead payments has been made in psychiatric and geriatric hospitals.

Dr. John Dunwoody:

On 15th April the Whitley Council agreed substantial salary increases. The agreement runs for one year from 1st April this year, and during this time discussions will be held on the grading structure of the professions. The new agreement does not introduce psychiatric or geriatric leads.
