HC Deb 11 May 1970 vol 801 c211W
62. Mr. Moonman

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what action he proposes to take on the representations made to him by hospital doctors, for direct negotiation with bodies responsible for pay and conditions of service, improved conditions of service, payment comparable to that in other professions, a reformed career structure, freely available postgraduate training, and improved conditions of work in regional hospitals.

Mr. Crossman:

I am not sure what representations my hon. Friend has in mind. The professions have access to the independent Review Body on levels of pay, and the other matters are frequently discussed with the Department.
