§ Sir B. Rhys Williamsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made in regard to infringements of parking regulations by members of the diplomatic corps.
§ Mr. Luard:The attention of Heads of Diplomatic Missions is drawn to fixed penalty notices incurred by members of their staffs every month. I am satisfied that the great majority of diplomats in this country behave responsibly in this respect and a number of Ambassadors ensure that all fines are paid by their staffs despite their diplomatic immunity, but I am informed that the Doyen of the Diplomatic Corps has recently raised the matter again with his colleagues.
