Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity (1) how many working days have been lost by female employees in Great Britain and Scotland, respectively, in industrial disputes on the issue of trade union recognition in the years 1960–69;

(2) how many working days have been lost in Great Britain and Scotland, respectively in industrial disputes on the issue of trade union recognition in the years 1960 to 1969.

Information supplied does not enable separate estimates to be made of working days lost by female employees. I am arranging for the remaining figures to be obtained and I shall be writing to my hon. Friend in due course.
