HC Deb 06 May 1970 vol 801 cc150-1W
Commander Pursey

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government (1) when the decision will be announced on the public inquiry held in Hull in January, 1969, on the Kingston upon Hull Bransholme Compulsory Purchase Order 1968, which was submitted on 27th June, 1968;

(2) why the decision on the Kingston upon Hull Compulsory Purchase Order 1968 has been delayed for 15 months, in view of the fact that it was originally announced for December, 1969 and subsequently for Easter, 1970.

Mr. Freeson:

My right hon. Friend will announce a decision on the compulsory purchase order before the end of May. The public inquiry at which objections into the order were heard was also concerned with a number of related planning applications and proposed amendments to the development plan for Kingston upon Hull Bransholme and environs. Consideration of it therefore was inevitably protracted.
