The Task Ahead (Economic Assessment)

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he intends to revise the economic assessment to 1972 published in " The Task Ahead ".

Mr. Roy Jenkins:

Earlier this year the Government prepared for the National Economic Development Council a revision of the main elements of the economic assessment in "The Task Ahead ". I have had this revised to take account of the recent Budget measures, and intend to publish it as a short Green Paper in the middle of May.
