HC Deb 05 May 1970 vol 801 cc97-8W
Mr. Roy Hughes

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what has been the total paid out on redundancy payments in the United Kingdom and Wales, respectively, since the scheme came into operation.

Mr. Dell:

The total amount paid to redundant employees in Great Britain from 6th December, 1965, to 31st March, 1970, was £216,182,000. I regret that separate figures are not available for Wales.
